Ну вообще исходя из правил произношения в данном случае английское "а" должно читаться как мягкое русское "э", т.е. слово должно писаться через русскую "е". С другой стороны, если бы эта самая К. была немкой, её фамилия читалась бы как раз как "Катлер". Но к данной фамилии я бы вообще придераться не стал, т.к. она упомянается всего пару раз, и ничего особенного в ней нет. Просто надо один раз перевести как нибудь, затем во всех остальных местах точно так-же. А про "факторы" я как раз говорил касательно Арчера, а точнее основных и важных персонажей/названий. Самой простой пример - андроид Data - понятно что правильный перевод этого слова вообще "данные", но мы то знаем что это именно имя а не просто слово, поэтому переводим так как это слово звучит - "Дэйта". А насчёт самого Арчера - т.к. имя "Джонатан" достаточно известное, давно имеется "обрусевшая" версия этого имени - т.е. "Джонатан" и есть. А "Archer" - как слышим, так и пишем - "а" в открытом слоге всю жизнь как "А" читалась. Просто переводить надо не тупо как робот(это и промт может) а задумываясь над каждым словом(ну почти над каждым). Определённых правил не существует(по крайней мере я не видел, и мне никто так и не показал) имена/названия переводятся очень по разному, в зависимости от многих факторов. Уж наверное всё что угодно лучше чем "баджоранцы". Может покажешь мне того человека кто считает что так надо переводить? А если ты считаешь что лучше по твоему - просьба предоставить какие-либо аргументы кроме слова "имхо".

Никакого отношения Мемори-Альфа к Википедии не имеет, кроме разве-что принципа организации. Википедией и многими другими проектами занимается группа "Wikimedia", а Мемори-Альфу(и так-же множество других энциклопедий) хостится на "Wikia Inc" которая, насколько я знаю, с "Wikimedia" никак не связана. добавлено через 1 минуту Почему только с разрешения?
